2004 Southeast Region Subaru Challenge Schedule Announcement!
This just in!
2004 Southeast Region
Subaru Challenge Schedule
Based on the tremendous response that the Subaru owner body showed in 2003 for the Subaru Challenge Series, we have made the decision to expand our coverage in 2004. Last year the Southeast Region of Subaru of America held three Subaru Challenges. In 2004 we will hold four Subaru Challenges.
The 2004 format will be similar to our previous ones. Each Challenge will be a Subaru only auto cross competition that will be administered by a local SCCA chapter. They will be one day affairs with lunch and beverages provided. Each participant will get at least four timed runs with the possibility of making the Super Star Challenge and getting two additional runs. The cost will be $25 per participant driver.
The 2004 Southeast Region Subaru Challenge Schedule is as follows:
Saturday 9/18 Ripken Field Baltimore MD
Saturday 10/9 Alltel Field, Jacksonville FL
Saturday 10/30 Gwinnett Fair Grounds Atlanta GA
Saturday 11/20 Bronson/Blue Angel Field Pensacola FL
Each Challenge is a customer appreciation event, put on by Subaru and its dealers for each Subaru owner to enjoy their vehicle and to spend time with like minded driving enthusiasts in a safe and fun atmosphere. As we get nearer to each event, we will set up an event hotel that is close to each venue. The event hotels will be where we form up the night before each event and a discounted rate will be offered to each participant.
If you do not know what a Subaru Challenge is, go to SubaruChallenge.com and check out the previous events that were held in the southeast region. Each 2004 event will be limited to the first 125 participants who sign up on the web site. So sign up early and come out and have a fun time with some of the greatest people around. Subaru driving enthusiasts just like you.

Hmmm, might be worth it to be able to hmmm.
Seriously, glad to hear the events have become even more popular. I might actually participate in one this year...maybe.

I know, I was there
every year audi holds its quattro challenge at sebring (among other tracks across the country) its 4 events (auto x, hot lap, accident avoidance and wet skid pad) and a lunch and prizes at the end. While I REALLY do like the current subaru challenge setup, I really would like to see it turn into that, half the day is having fun, while the other half is learning better control, I like that format, its not my choice, and Im sure at this point its beyond feasible (audi is partners with Panoz driving school, and Im sure they exchange cars for track time) but its just a thought.

I'm very interested in this event but have never been to one before. Would any of you recommend this for a novice?
Thanx, Leroy

LeroyDriver - It's a great event for novices, it's a no pressure competition designed to help Subaru owners explore the performance capabilities of their vehicles in a safe enviroment.
mranlet - Sorry, complete Subaru vehicles only.
