Default Leggy-Projekt

I guess its time to share what I have been building for the last few months.

Stats:
91 Legacy Wagon
Got the JDM style RHD
EJ20R
4.44 LSD Rear differential

255 fp
Broke so cant afford to make it pretty

I got this car 9/16/07, though it seems like forever.
So far it has made decent progress in my mind, since I work (sometimes)
And go to school full time.
(I work at the same place as another subie guy that lives in meadow pointe, drives a bug eye I think its black? If hes on here I drive the 04 Gti hullo
Theres is a silver and a black wagon I see in there aswell- and a sti that lives
somewhere near me who probably saw me working on this thing. well anyway)

Heres the day I got it home, or somewhere close to there.

Can you say beast 2.2? The guy that sold it to me said it started if it had a battery. Well.. I guess after sitting for 5 years it changed its mind, but i wasn't going down without a fight. Well after some not flammable highly flammable maf cleaner, the baker motorsource figured out that somehow in those 5 years of sitting the spark plugs wires decided to play the Chinese fire drill and it was firing out of order. After it returned to the OEM firing order it did indeed start.

Some body shots if you are interested

Interior (or whats left of it)

The 2.2 did not stay in there very long, on a rainy night myself.. and well myself, removed the engine. Got done at the wee hours of the morning.

Some more engine removal

Make room for the new sheriff in town

Updated interior shot

Where I'm at now:
Right now I'm almost ready for the first "real start up"
-Routing the new wiring throw the engine bay
-Still have to mount the sti radiator (looking forward to that)
-Still waiting on my clutch master cylinder to arrive
-Gotta attach a couple misc hoses and pray I can get my sti tmic to work (if you could see you would understand; might have to live with the stock one for the time being)
^-- off this.. gotta find a way to make my hood have a hole in it so the tmic actually works.. I have a front mount laying in my garage but to route it would be a pita.
-Put the interior back together/put seat wheel in
-Somehow get the axle nuts off? my impact gun apparently is weaksauce; so i can start it soon but until i can get the axle nuts off the rear I can put in the new axles/dif/driveshaft it wont be going no where.
-One of my biggest problems was the ant infestation; sitting for years has made it a home to many creatures, half I can not identify, a spring hill hybrid species, tons of spiders/ eleventy billion ants.. and that is no understatement (bug bomb ftmfw)
-And another important thing, a gauge cluster with a electric speedo, the 91 had a mechanical so it wont work, someone told me that it will run in limp mode if the speedo is not hooked up but I don't loose sleep over it
Some other goodies I got are:

W/ side mounts
*on a side note let me express my displeasure with a place called QTM which drop ships for sparco.. one of the seats had a little rip in it, the box had a big hole in it as well, so after trying to reach them a couple times i finally get called back, ship it back. today I got it back.. oh wait.. not a new seat... the SAME ONE WITH 2 MORE RIPS IN IT. So i am beyond pissed. especially since it took like a month to get them, and its been 2 months since i ordered them *

But I think thats it, I'm forgetting tons I know. But I was bored so I thought I would share.
If anyone wants to drop by sometime and lend some hands that would be ok with me, or if someone can master my axle nut situation, I think it calls for a 1000 dollar impact gun.
I will try to get some new pictures if people are interested
Questions/comments/concerns are encouraged

that is awesome, going to be super light

kinda confused on the engine though, are you mainting the stock 2.2L? is it the turbo 2.2L from the 22B STI? or are you swapping a new 2.5L STI engine in?

The engine is the EJ20R - Out of a MY97 Legacy GT-B (280HP)
-Bucket type direct bush rocker system
-Compression ratio 8:1
-Compression pressure 11.0-350
-Redline: 6500
-Thermal flow piston type
-Valve clearance adjustment by lifter shim
-Open deck
-Forgot the 2 turbo sizes Either VF18 primary and VF19 secondary or, VF25 primary and VF27 secondary, I have to take off the heat shields to check
