i have a 86 celica GT-S first year of the front drive with a 3sge. if your caelica is a 5s or a 3s it should bolt in but if your car has a 4afe or 7afe you will have alot more trouble. when i do my 3sgte swap all i will basically need is a motorset, fuel pump and a clutch.
i paid $600 for the car and i figure another $3000 for miselanous bull. and at 2700lbs should run low 13's with the stock turbo

yeah i found it at a used car dealer. its red with grey intderior and is the first year the 3sge was available. its in good shape execpt for some rust on the rear fender. its pretty quick for stock although i already put a hks intake on it form my corolla. i wish it was a coupe, but its the heavier hatchback. i know where another 86 Celica GT-S coupe is for sale in real good shape, air works and its blue but its an autofaget and they want $2500 which is way to much, i would give um $1500 i have two red toyota 86 GT-s' a corolla and the celica.

i have an 87 celica st that i swaped the hydralocked w/bent rod 3sfe out for a 3sge and cracked a ring so time to build it up and and now im geting ready to put my second gen alltrac 3sgte in my 87 st i still need to buy my microtech ecu but i just got an 86 celica st with a 2se 2.0 sohc with auto so slow but it will do for now until i finish my swap

Hey do you really think your FWD Celica will run 13's with the stock turbo. Theres this guy from celica.net who has a 90's GTS and is probably the first pioneer of this swap. He is boosting 18 psi. He probably has a good 300hp at the wheels.He is always telling me that the fwd celi isn't really for draging due to the lost of traction. Would you really think that your 86 GT-S will run 13's?
