ok guy i'm posting this to find out if anyone here in tampa ever done this swap on the 90-93 st184 celicas. i have a 91 gt that i'm thinking about using for the swap and i need some pointers that i can use to make this swap a little easier on me. anything can help guys....Thanks alot for your time

I don't think I stressed it enough. Don't buy any engine sets with ecu harness etc... because I've seen nightmares where harnesses are cut and missing sensors. You'd spend months trying to locate some. What part of town are you located?

Get the GT4 clip, try to get the 92+ GT4. The 92+ has the post-revision engine with some fixes from the 90-91 year.

And instead of throwing away the awd tranny like most people do Il give you $10 for it and pick it up

 

I think Ricksta still has a converted MR2 tranny for a swap, its not the best tranny in the world but you can get it for cheap from him. I also have a 92 MR2 Tranny in unkown condition. Il give you my tranny for your awd tranny. and maybe you can do something with it.

 

basically listen to these guys. getting a clip will be the easiest way to get everything you need and not spend time searching for missing shit. the 3s will bolt up to your chassis and to your stock 5sfe tranny just fine, but that tranny isn't the strongest in the world. the stock all trac harness will have to be redone for lhd. but everything else should be pretty strait forward.

 

i am going stroker... its easier and cheaper in my case. thanks for the help guys.
