TRack Event questions
It was a great event and I enjoyed most of it but its inevitable that a few things went wrong some avoidable and some inevitable.
TOP 10 ways to make TR13 better.
10:Invite Ford GT to next event to run the S7
9:Nitrous Refill Station must be open
8:VHT the street in front of the track so 17 sec Cars can do burnout leaving track.
7:T-shirt Cannons
6:Education Class for announcer to teach him finer points of Mustang lineage
(Called my 95 a Modular Motor Car and Jason's 87 the first year for Modular Mustangs)
5:Make Mars302 a staff Photographer and Buy him a Camera
4:install Steam Catapault from Carrier to allow runs from a roll for Imports
3:allow Foxbody Pat to prepay in Snickers Bars
2:install elevator in tower for us fat people to turn in Tech Card without Medivac immed following
1:Teach Woman at the Gate to READ!
all kidding aside I thought there were going to be no Spots available at the Track!

about 630 they announced that they were selling 10 spots.WTF? I was promised that there would be no more Spots sold, some people Bought extras to make the field smaller, those spots if they were sold at the track should be refunded to the people who didnt show.

A few things:
16 people did not show we elected to sell 10 spots half way through the event because people were begging me and the staff at BMP.
The track staff had several people that wanted to run and I had countless people that wanted a spot before the event and at the event.
We did not release the spots until 6:30 to give the people that had not showed yet a chance to get there. Any earlier and I might have oversold beyond 105 spots and I promised I would stay at or below that number. Any later and it would have been to late to get in a fair amount of runs.
There were no more spots sold at the gate when the gate opened nor did I sell above 105 cars running at the track.
No one bought extra spots to make the field smaller, sorry that did not happen.
We never had more than 95 cars running (or there) at one given moment. Some broke, some left early, so stopped running. Yes we track these things.
You neglected to post this from my original announcement that you posted:
"** This event and all future TRack Events will be pre-pay only for the racers and no refunds will be given within a week of the event ( October 22nd ) unless TR, the track, or weather cancels it. "
Sounds more than fair to me. Especially since not one person that did not show has asked for a refund. Matter a fact some have said please use it towards anything TR might need.
However there will be one change next time. We will guarantee that we will sell any open spots at 6:30 p.m. if you have not shown unless you have notified me in advance that you will be arriving late.

That ran a best of 15.14 (oh, and it's kinda ricey, but domestic). And we both had a great time! I ran a grey Civic w/ a Chavez mtrsprts decal that I barely beat w/a 11.58 Damn impressive! What did you run there Freakyfast?

Yep there was a great mix as usual but even better it was a much faster mix. I think this is why our events do so well. It is not just the same ole' type, make, model, what ever, car running all day long.

I dont for 1 sec think the Hondas at this level are all your 17 sec street Crap level like I see all the time on 19 nor did I expect to see them this time, last TRack day there were some of those. but this time I do have to say there were some higher quality imports there. and which guy on the list owned the S7?or The rail? I broke the Damn rear in my car on my first run the Diff broke, and towards the end of the night I broke a belt and PS Hose(the belt took it out)and I only got 3 runs but I had fun in the middle.I thought that TR was getting the shaft and the Track was selling more spots,because of what was said before.If I buy 3 spots next time and register all 3 at the gate can I narrow the field?

The S7 belonged to a guy I known named Ward and the TF Dragster belong to Tom (forgot last names). Either were on the list, they got to come in for free for obvious crowd pleasing reasons. I try to have a few cars like that at most of our events.
