question is , why does it not have the stock roots? Why put a cintrifugal on with a Cobra intake, screw that...
If anything upgrade the intake to something more along the lines of the Trick Flow Track Heat R or something or just leave the stock roots on it .

I am guessing that is not a real Saleen E series instead he just snapped the charger on after he bought the thing because if it was a real E it would have come stock with the roots under the hood and why change that?

I dunno he had the original sticker for 71k and it dynoed like 480HP. He picked it up for 52k with 7k miles. It is 2nd Saleen and he has a brand new 2004 F-150 loaded. I hate him for his money.

Because they make a Saleen SR

With an energizing 505 horsepower from its 4.6 liter centrifugal Saleen series V “Twin Screw” type Supercharged V-8 engine and a Saleen Racecraft designed independent rear suspension, the SR takes curves with the same force as it does straightaways.
Saleen

the s/c's that come on the saleens are roots type superchargers, ive never seen a saleen or any kind of ford product come stock with a vortech. if you go on the saleen web site it even tells you that the E model comes with a eaton roots type s/c.
