Actually he manufactures the A-10 kit. His first model used the airfoil from a glider. Obviously it didnt look like a glider wing. It was done like this to conserve weight and make it so it wouldnt drop like a rock if he went dead stick. One of the companies that make the gas powered turbines sent him a pair in return for a pair of the A-10 kits

model planes like that really help out movie makers................its way cheaper to crash one of those than the real deal...

Almost tru ... they AMA(Aero modelers Association) makes people restrict them to 190mph , but cause at those speeds .. if you lose control of the plane 9/10 the servos are not fast enuff to recover by the time you hit the ground ..
also of peopel use ducted fan engines in them they are aound $500 each , they use nitrous engines . unlike the engines in the video use desiel or karose(sp) .. a actually jet engine ( like the one in the video will run your around $5000 for a good one ... Thus why lot of people used ducted fan .. Ps I wouldn't by anything like this from Tower.. it would be better to go straight through the man.
