Or it could be because that car has a power curve like a voltage spike.

He is a professional drag racer, the reason in building this car was to beat the FULL WEIGHT 6SP Supra record, so do some research before you run your mouth and look stupid. Run a search on Paul Efantis... takes more of a driver than you will ever be to accomplish what he did. This was done on a Stock 6SP supra transmission

I thought the MSP Supra was a darker blue. is this Pauls personal ride or something?

That car has a few tenth's left in it with a better launch.

lets see, boostlogic sells upgrades for the auto trans that is capable of running 9's, for only 1800

Now im sure if you own your own company and get the parts wholesale and do the work yourself and your ALSO working on a manual, you can get a 8 second tranny for under 1g

The MSP is auto boost/nitrous, this one is 6sp/boost ... they are going to squeeze more out of it for sure and he said so on Supraforums. He accomplished this record in under 2 weeks...racing is his life compared to the others that have been trying. Does anyone know the record for the 6SP Viper? I think this is cutting it close to that record also
