Default The Evo finally impressed me "but"

Impressed yes, shocked no, not using a 42R at 39psi, Tapps 2g Talon went faster on a smaller turbo, using less boost!!!!

But here it is anyway...http://media.ams-evo8.com/ams992run.wmv

Here is Tapp on there 40R turbo @ 30psi

WHY ARE THEY USING SUCH AN OVERLY MASSIVE TURBO?

goddamn. I.....can't.....figure......that.....shit.....out.

a GT42R is a goddamn 1500whp turbo. OR MORE. WTF Do they need it on an EVO for?

Shiet. Theres some company selling a goddamn GT40R KIT for srt4's, to make only 500whp.

Okay let me help the Nissan guy understand. First off the GT42R is more like a 1000hp turbo, not a goddamn 1500hp turbo. Also AMS EVO dyno at 775whp ,you count the drivetrain loss and there making goddamn close to 1000hp to the flyhweel. But I know they could run high 9s with a slighly smaller turbo. But I'm sure they will get deeper and deeper in to the 9s with this turbo and more track time. Now you help me understand why anyone would want to drive a Nissan Sentra ,

You also have to remember that the GT42R comes in about 4 different specs with different compressor wheels. You really need to learn more about the GT series turbo's before talking shit about them.

You can have a GT40R turbo that has a bigger compressor wheel and flows more air then a GT42R.

Also the TappAuto 2g only went a whole .03sec QUICKER. What was the Evo mph and the Tapp 2g mph? I can't view video's at work. The 2g might be quicker then the Evo but if the Evo has more MPH it is FASTER. Might want to work on your termonolgy.

That was the first no problem pass in that car, that was the actual first time that driver has ever takin it down the track. The North American Evo 8 record is 9.7. That car is gutted, slicks and sprayed. AMS' shop car is 775 to the wheels on drag radials and stock weight, no spray. Their 60's still suck, they'll have the record easy by the end of the summer. Cool car, seen it in person at the shop. You should see their 630hp Mitsu Outlander with EVO swap.

What I don't understand is this:

Finally being impressed "with the Evo" because you saw one go 9.9 is... uhh... well, I'm sorry, but I don't get it. It's so far from stock it's not funny, just like ANY car running 9s. It's like watching (on a different level), the Ecko Cobalt running 7 and saying, "WOW, COBALTS R GOOD@!@!"

Any car, with any amount of money and time, can run 9s. ANY CAR.
