If he wrote it as a joke, then thats cool, but it pisses me off when people insult the rotary when they don't even know half of what it's capable of, 200hp of a stock 89' is at 5.5psi, not 15psi like most everother stock boosted car. A 12a WILL go for 200k, a nonturbo 13b WILL go for 150k,a 13bt WILL go for 100k. I know guys who are going past 200,000 on their FB's with their original motor. Most people when they buy one it starts crapping out on them because the previous owner either A) beat the crap out of it and/or B) did not maintain it or store it properly. There are many people who give them a bad rap by saying their unreliable pieces of shit when they don't even know how to take care of it (I am not saying your friend or Saturn dude are these people so PLEASE do not think that).
^I don't know what to say about that 12k, s5's meet full power at 7200 and there are many dyno sheets to prove that. Maybe you took the needle past 9k when it was in Nuetral but thats it. Unless you had a Pport motor, hardened station gears and and $10,000 into that motor, I call BS
