ALL shit which I've danced to for years. Hip Hop IS dead, make no mistake the BULLSHIT you hear now adays is not much of Hip Hop anymore. Sure there are good beats etc, but lil Wayne is NOT Hip Hop Kids..

Props for knowing good music.

Raised in Miami, but I was Deeeeeeeep into the b-boy and hip-hop scene all through the 80's -90's

me and my boys would DJ at teen clubs and dances etc. we came across a lot of underground getting mix tapes and radio recordings on cassetes from up north...thats where I first learned of Erik B and Rakim

Hell yeah man, theres some good underground shit thats for sure. I was from the Island and heard some shit no one has heard of accept DJs like yourself and whatnot. Good shit man for sure.

Rap def isnt what it used to be, but the old school will never die, at least with me anyways. I still listen to that shit all the time and will continue to till the die im 6 feet under. good shit..

hey i didn't know bout this thread sorry for doubling it--- but yess i agree rap sucks now and it's not what it used to be.

I miss that old hardcore gangster shit that didn't hold back.. "Real motherfuckin g's" type music... Today's rap, even the "hard" stuff is more like a blend of pop. It's a shame really. It's like saying the word FUCK over a nsync track. roflmao!!!

I love the saw tooth synth in this song......they flow that bitch all the way through the song. IMHO, this is the birth of dissonant elements used thoughout a song to create an edgy texture to the music.

Back then this was wicked shit. people did not know how to digest it because it was so different.

Much respect to Terminator X as an innovator.....his album "Valley of the Jeep Beats" did not get as much respect as it deserved. the lyrics were weak but his beats were spot on.
