You're right, 7Ms suck, but definitely not SR 20 balls. Those are a bigger piece.

And for the record, a FASTER car is one that has a higher top speed and more top end, a quicker car is one that gets to a speed faster. What does a 240 top out at???

I went 178 in one of my SR20 builds with a J30!! A 7m would have overheated way before that! There has always been the Nissan v/s Toyota battle and I have built both. The fact of the matter is 7M guys are like CA18 guys (sorry boys) If you build them balls to the walls they can make power and be reliable but most of the time, neither spend any money (there are exceptions to this rule, but it's rare). I have no doubt that a 7M built can make the power, Its that the MKIII chasis is a brick of dooo dooo and compared to an S13 (or S14) there is no comparison. Remember power/weight ratio! There is almost 1000 lb difference in stock form. That's like an S13 putting 20 bags of concrete in its hatch and trying to race. Doesn't sound fun to me!

As for top speed, from the factory with factory spec tires in an 89+ 7M-R154 MKIII Supra, 173 MPH is max speed with a rpm limit of 6500. NO SWAPPING OF ANYTHING NEEDED. FYI, I have buried the speedometer(which goes to 160) numerous times on my car, and my temperature gauge never went hot.
And yes, my car with me in it weighs in around 3800lbs. Just makes beating lighter cars that much more fun. Also, my MKIII rides nice, and is one of the most comfortable cars I have ever been in. Also there are so many factory standard options that came in MKIIIs, that are not even standard in some new cars.
