So wait. The GTR "WAS" or "WASN'T" on the stock rubbers? The internet can be a cruel fact gathering place at times.

Man, if that is true. The GTR just got bumped up a peg for me. That speaks volumes for the efficiency of that car.

Please post a link to where you got the information about the GTR being on slicks. I would like to read it.

the GT-R test mules I saw at the Nürburgring Nordschleife all had standard tires mounted. (I was there, so I can tell)

too bad you can't see the profile of those tires, but since they are driving on German roads (with a registration) , I presume they weren't going on slicks.

(pics from last year september 24th)

and later that day, one of the GT-R test mules runs this time

YouTube - Nissan GT-R runs a 7:38 at Nurburgring

Oh my! So I now know hands down which one I would choose.

I stand corrected. Still insanely impressive. Thanks for posting the pics and video links. They are saved to my favorites.

Side note: Being in school, I feel like I have been living in a cave. Time to figure out what car I want to get post obtaining a good job.

The GTR is 100% in the running. Anyone know what the expected years of production will be? I don't graduate till Spring of 09'.
