I watched a show here called Super Cars the other day that I had on DVR for a few moths. They showed the first one being delivered to some guy in California. I thought it was a good looking car.
What are they speed limited too?
What are they speed limited too?
What I've heard so far the US model will be limited to something around 155 mph, and the GT-R's in Japan are limited to 97 mph (as usual).
But they somehow recognize when they are on a racetrack (via GPS) and unlock the speed limitation.
to that white GT-R....thats a bone stock, so you can stay with the normal specs

It does appear the GTR's run was on treaded tires. At least thats what these pics depict that are from what I assume is the day of the then record setting run.
2009 Nissan GT-R Nurburgring Lap Time
I really like the GTR, and having owned two nissans, I do like nissan and i like the bulldog-ish good looks of the GTR. But I have to say I'm still rooting for GM here, its always good to win one for the home team.
And the Vette is always that sportscar everyone loves to hate. So, to see it and its engineers shut up some critics is kind of cool.
Given the option of picking between the ZR1 and the GTR would be tough. I'd honestly say the GTR would probably be my pick, just more practical for me.
That said, neither one is really all that practical and frankly I'll never own either one, so what the hell, my bets are on the Vette's team.

The prototype Nissan GT-R V-Spec, wearing the "Victory Specification" designation reserved for the ultra high-performance Nissan GT-R, has been caught lapping the famed Nürburgring at an incredible, if not simply unbelievable, 7:25 per lap. This, according to bystanders trackside. (For comparison, Walter Röhrl lapped the Ring in 7:28 while driving a Porsche Carrera GT in 2004.)
