You couldn't be more misinformed.
It's not the fact that he lost to the civic,it's the fact that NUMEROUS people that have raced the car before and beaten/lost to it STATED it ran like it was on spray.
I could care less whether it was or not, doesn't really matter to me.
I never said the 350z was an 06+,i don't know nor care what year it was.
I do know that i put an easy 5 cars on said 350z from a dig, whether that was driver error/mechanical error who knows.Fact of the matter is,it did happen.
Also,IIRC,Nino was running low boost that night.
Which is 10 psi,and he puts down around 240whp on low boost.

And, 240whp is not going to pull a 350Z like that. That looked to me like 300whp in that Civic. My 240SX put down 240whp on the dyno, and I can pull a little bit on a new 350Z (maybe a car). Considering that that Civic is a coupe, there is only 100lbs. difference between the Civic and my 240SX. No 240whp Civic is going to freight train a 350Z like that, unless it's in a CX hatch, and even then it still won't be that bad.
Oh, and for the record, I've been called out on spray on 2 occasions. One from a SRT-4 I beat, and the other from.... you guessed it, a Honda owner (RSX Type-S).
^+1.
Yeah I recall him stating he was on low boost more than once during the night.
But I'm not 100% sure if he turned it up or not to race the z.

i also saw it and heard nino say he was on low boost why is it so hard to understand the a civic with less than 300 whp can beat a 350z with minor mods
Because it doesn't add up. Given the Civic weight and 240whp, the car has a 10:1 power to weight ratio. Given the 350Z weight and around 270-280whp for the 06+, that's 11:1 power to weight ratio. Being that the power to weight ratios are similar, it should have been a drivers race. That Civic freight trained the 350Z. There is no way it could do that given almost similar power to weight ratios. That's why he had to have been running higher boost on that run, in the 300whp. That is believable. I've also been around alot of cars in my time, and I know what many different cars and setups are capable of.

240/2262=10.6:1 P/W ratio
2006 Nissan 350z's weigh in at 3370 lbs according to the same source.
270/3370=8.01:1 P/W ratio.
