the guitar is amped and ran through a processor that gives heavy delay and reverb
the tone quality comes from nylon strings I think. he has some pretty heavy synth precoessing going on as well...probably a ring modulator.
his arrangements are cool but arpeggios get tired after a while

Delay can be set, well usually 20-30 milliseconds. So pretty much when he hits the string it takes, where ever it is set to actually process. Reverb is in a sence 1000 of samples of the track. When you can manipulate it a million different ways to get that the "sound" you are looking for.
