I just checked all Top Gear Episodes where they have a Veyron in and they never mentioned it having "only" 600 hps in Standard or Handling Mode.
And sorry for being nerdy, a R35 is not a Skyline, they don't have that word imprint on their trunk lid.

I guess I may be wrong. I was told by a guy that works at a Ferrari and Lambo shop that the US veyrons had to be programed with the first key around 600hp. This is bc of the US bullshit emission laws. He may be wrong. But I will never have enough to get one of these so...don't really car to much.
