A lot of people are going off in their pants over the new 24V VR6s but like Fast Kyle said. Its the potential. With a chip (chip = cheap HP) youll blow past a VR6 even a modded VR6. And if just more boost from the stock turbo isnt enough upgrade. The 20V 1.8L Turbo engine has Mod the f*ck out of me written all over it.

If your going to spend over $4k on the 1.8T why not spend the same amount on the VR6? For that money you can get a turbo for the VR6 and walk a 1.8T like a poodle. And if you were to do it to a lighter Mk3 chassis all the better.

Rumor has it that the 24V VR6 responds well to chips and brings it up into the high 210s low 220s for HP. Z-Engineering also has a supercharger for it claiming 280hp.
