JETTA VR6 or GTi VR6?
very nice for the money and more cheaper to upgrade ( IMO ) for the money.

What year are they looking at? If its the older body style (93-99) get the VR6. If its new probably wiser to get the 1.8T if your looking for cheap power. Turbo upgrades for VR6s run about $5k or so (sometimes less). Superchargers run just over $3k.
And there is only about 100lb difference between a Jetta and a GTI so its just a matter of which body style you prefer.

yes i would like to build a 93-99 only because my friend adam races them(scca) and he took me for a ride in his 96 gti vr6 and its just a better car than a honda or other import in my opinion. so you guys are telling me that for 5 thousand dollars i can have a 400hp road car? damn thats cool. thank you guys for your opinoins...

IMHO the 99+ years are way nicer cars than the under-99 models. They are made with much higher quality interiors and more consistent manufacturing means less stupid problems. But they are heavier and the suspension is too soft but since you are going to mod it anyways that shouldnt be much of an issue. But it sounds like you are looking for a high quality road car so I think you might appreciate the higher quality of the newer models and they also have the cool blue gauge and dash lights.
And if you are interested I have a 99.5 Golf 2-door for sale. It only has a 2.0 liter but if you are looking for a very nice used car you can do an easy swap and save a lot of money over buying a new one or even a used 1.8T since they just started offering that last year. Mine is in excellent condition its just kinda slow... lol...

thats cool...i know all about slow i have an integra. lol. but i done think i have that kind of money to spend on a car and remember the teg is up for sale and honda is not a high class car so i dont know how much money i will have. but just incase...how much do you want what color what rims what mods?

LOL... so your teg is slow huh? Not sure I believe that one and last I saw Acura Integras especially the GSR have a hell of a nice resale value.
But in case you are interested its a 99.5 (thats the new body style they made both generations in 99 one was a Golf one was a New Golf no shit thats what it says on the title) bright red 2 door black interior (cloth) 2.0 liter 5-speed 37k miles factory CD changer no power windows but everything else is power and has factory remote alarm and keyless entry. For mods nothing much just factory 16 Montreal (VR6 standard equipt) wheels brand new Goodyears custom red inserts on the door panels (I didnt do it it came that way from the dealer) and the all important GTI badge to replace the Golf badge.
I know that was cheesy I was asking in my other post how do you say RICE in German... but I couldnt help it I hate telling people I have a Golf when saying GTI sounds so much better and the car is identical to a real 99-2001 GTI the only difference is power windows and a sunroof the performance and suspension is identical and my wheels are even better.
I owe a total shitload upside down on this car so if you are interested make me a reasonable offer and I will see what I can do. I was thinking its worth anywhere from $10K-$14K depending on who you ask and what you want mine is really clean and a pretty rare color combination so I wanted to get about $12k for it.
