A/C just went out... '96 Cabrio
So my a/c just randomly decided to go out recently. It was working great except for the fact it was leaking a little on the passenger side floor board, I was guessing that was from the drain tube being clogged. It stopped leaking for a couple days and the a/c was still great, ddn't slowly stop working or anything. I was out at work one day and the a/c was working fine and then the next day it's just blowing hot air out. I checked the fuses and they seemed fine, I haven't had a chance to test the relays but the blower motor is working fine. I haven't tried a freon refill kit just in case it just needed a recharge but I don't see how considering it was working great the previous day unless maybe there was a leak that sprung up in the system.
I'm not the best when it comes to working with a/c components but I can't do this no a/c thing, it's either too hot or too rainy. Are there any big main issues with mk3 that I should check that could relate to this problem?
The car is a '96 Cabrio 5-speed, it is throwing a CEL for the front o2 sensor as I haven't gotten around to fixing that.
Thanks for the help!

check your fuses and relays first and give her a recharge. if the compressor still doesnt kick on make a jumper wire from the battery to the compressor and see if the clutch engages. if not the clutch is shot.( i have an extra working a/c compressor from my mk3 part out if needed)
Fuses are fine, I don't know how to check the relays other than to listen to the click, do you have your a/c relays? I could try swapping them out and seeing if that works...
I think I have one of those recharge kits in my laundry room, I'm going to have to check that.

Alrite well I might be messaging you about that compressor, definitely checking this a/c out tomorrow. It's way too hot for this nonsense...

Oh it's not bad on days when it's not 105° out or it's pouring down like a monsoon...
