i think your right, the z06 almost wrecked from the hp hit,he should put some tires on, sounds like it would get worse with all that power hooking up,,as far as the cobra putting it in a lower gear why would he want to slow his car down??seems like hed dump it and go?

Now that depends on what tires Pat is sporting. My logic is this. In 3rd gear at 60mph Pat would be kicking 3600rpm. The Z06 would be at a little lower rpm which is perfect for a nitrous car to get like 4 to 5 cars on you real quick. I have seen a few 03 Cobra dyno's and I think Pat would have needed that 2nd gear jump. That is depending on what tires Pat is sporting. 2nd gear would have put Pat deep into his peak tq at around 4800-5000 rpm and the quick shift to 3rd would have dropped him back down into peak tq and would have made for a more interesting race. Word to the wise. NEVER race a nitrous car from a roll that puts them near 3000 rpm. You have just given them an advantage when it comes to tq. Especially if you are racing a LS1/LS6/LQ4 car.

with the stock tires that Pat is on, 60 in second would've been useless. I'll spin my stock tires at 40 in second ( I only have 458 whp and 463 tq ), I think he made the best choice going into third at 60. It stills pulls ok from 60, but it's one of the worst speeds to be at.

I had DR's on last night, and I ran TRDnitelife who was on street tires. We went from 55. I was in second, and him in third. I got an instant jump, but he slowly pulled by me, due to his car being a bit stronger.

Pat. you NEED some tires, and to get that thing tuned.
