PS, I don't just make this stuff up, in case that's what you're thinking. This is dyno proven, not just on my setup, but on many others. I like to keep a nice fat (wideband) a/f ratio of 10-11.5:1, it allows me to run higher then normally run boost.
The only downside to this however, if the turbo's less then happy 270 degree thrust bearing, which isn't great after 15psi. Much higher, and they tend to hate life shortly after.
Then again, it's a stock turbo, so wtf do I care?

exactly what you said.
that same 20psi on a t04 will make a huge difference.
the 30hp to me isn't worth the death of a turbo.
or lack of cooling and you can ahve some nasty det. which we all know causes engine failure.

It's not the best way but it is a way to get more.
cept with the occasional boost spike. It'll be ok.
