S2000 Kill

Hey All
I thought the C5 kill was sweet. I thought the Porsche Carerra 4
kill was even better. But this topped them all.
Also If any of you think this story is fabricated I will be happy to demonstrate at DeSoto anytime.
Im drivin on rt60 when I see this
guy and his woman in a shiny red S2000. It was kinda funny because I
had this guy on my left and a Civic Si on my far right. Hmmmm
should I go for the six piece Chicken McNuggets on my right or should I skip
the snack or go directly for the Double Quarter Pounder W/Cheese?
All it took was a little steady 4000rpm out of the ATR 4 Tip and the
S2000 was game. He downshifts and gives it a run up to its 9000rpm redline
Now all I needed was an opening. Keep in mind my car is a total sleeper the only hint is the 3 exhaust. Ive been
taken for granted as the underdog in every race Ive been in.
So our lanes open up. This guy has had his race face on and
promptly downshifts and takes off. I nail it as soon he does and
watch the old boost-o-meter peg 15psi. The magic of forced induction
takes over as I rocket past him shifting into third.
This truly blew this guys mind. I slow down and he does it again.
OK same routine: 15psi S2000 many carlengths behind. I think he
got the message after that. He pulled next to me briefly eyeing up
my car. I gave him a wave and he turned his head and took off. Awww
poor guy. Kinda like the Guy in the LS1 Z28 6 speed I raced. After
beating him he swore he was taking the car back to the dealer. Haaa!

Well it could have been her husband or a friend driving...or it could have been another car altogether.

Just out of curiousity why does this kill beat a C5 or Carrera 4 kill? The S2000 if broken in properly and driven skillfully can pull a 14.0 maybe a 13.9 stock. There isnt really any one thing you can do to make it a whole lot faster without NOS or FI - its a pretty tapped out car. For example the only true power adder I have on mine is a Mugen header which gave me about 6hp and did about diddly to help my times in that car (13.8@101mph). C5s and Carrera 4s are much faster than a S2000. So it gives you a bigger hard on to beat up a car that is slower? Whoa....big man!

Relax...I mean no harm.
I dont judge a kill on speed alone. In fact that is a small part. Im sure you would agree the greater part is by far the reaction of the opponent!
I have raced everything from C5s to Nissan sentras. Its all in fun. But the bonus is when you have beaten someone and they cant believe it! (Or dont want to.)
This is my beater & daily driver. For a total outlay of $5000.00 (including the purchase price of the car) I have a car that beats up on cars 10 times its price and is 100% reliable as well.

I have to agree with that..... nothing like the look on someones face when they expect an easy kill and they get hammered. especially when its a high priced newer car

Nice one Underdog. When are you taking that thing out to one of our DSM meets? You know when they are.

no offense but i STILL dont see how this was a better kill than a C5 or a carerra 4?? although the hit over the head with a shovel look is fun....youll get it ALOT more from someone driving a $80k car than you will for someone driving a $35k car....
