Last race of the night was the best

It was around 3am and I was about to head home. I decided to make one more lap around Gandy to Shell. When I got to Shell there was 7 or 8 cars parked so I pulled in. A friend of mine came up to me and said he had someone who wanted to race me. It was a light blue foxbody stang with a white hood supercharged. I had heard about this car a few times so I knew it was going to be close. We decided to go from a roll since we were both runnin street tires. As we headed onto Gandy we line up at about 20mph. He nods and its on. He jumps out about half a car then my Nos kicks and I get it back. Shifting into 3rd were pretty even. Nos kept fluctuating. I might have had a fender. We slowed down and he wanted to go again which was fine with me since my Nos didnt kick well on the first run. Again we line up at 20 and nail it at the same time. Nos hits good this time and I start to pull. Each gear I put on a half car. As I shifted into fifth I started walking away good. I think hes done by 125mph. We race two more times and each time I put approx two cars on him up to 120 but really start to pull away faster after that.
We got back to Shell and parked I went and shook his hand and talked to him for a while. He said I was the first Camaro to beat him. He also said he was only making 8 lbs of boost but should be getting 9 lbs. Had a little belt slippage going on. Real nice guy. He had his car weighing in at 2850 lbs. Good god I wish I could get my car that light. Of course I would probably just spin to eighty. Oh well. That race was the best because I got called out and we raced four good cleean times. No doubt on the outcome!........Al

With the right gear out back probably mid 120s. Right now its just over 120 through the traps but I reach 120mph 100 feet before the traps because of my 4.10 rear gear. 6500rpm in fourth = 120mph. Ive tried shifting into fifth but its only in gear a split second before the end of the quarter. Doesnt help any. I need to go with some 3.73s soon...........Al
